two of the young people who regularly meet with us at "the party" at our home had recently broken up. i was devastated to say the least. not only were they perfect for each other, but now who were we going to play outlaw volleyball with? i felt very disturbed by this and felt moved to pray.
i have been praying since saturday. this afternoon i felt the urge to turn off my radio and interceed for them. later in the evening when the gentleman came into work, i told him of my plight and depression at having to look for new outlaw volleyball partners. he informed me that they had gotten back together. i said good because i wanted to slap the both of you. he smiled. so i invited them over for tomorrow night. thank you lord for reconciliation! thank you for your mercy. teach them to let go of labels and expectations and just love each other. the way they already do.
i'm telling you, the party's infectious. people want to come, they really do. we just need to invite them to the party. unfortunately, the party isn't happening a whole lot in most mainline churches. so that's why most youngsters don't go. they go to where the party's at. so where is the party? your place?
