i just wanted to say how strange i find it how Paul was basically in control of what was happening thoguh he was a prisoner...

absolutely. kind of like what i tend to call the "joseph principle." a common mark of god's people in captivity.

you know, i can't say i've ever been shipwrecked, but it doesn't sound like a good time. yet, as with everything difficult, the peace and the wisdom of god prevail.

There was more than just the peace and wisdom of God as WE know it going on here. There was an angel that stood beside Paul and told him what was going to pass re: all the men on board...the Holy Spirit allowed Paul to see that they were going to have great loss before they even set out. It is hard for me to understand how people would trade in the love and power and wisdom of the Lord for Tarot cards and astrological and psychic readings. Look how great our God is and there is none to compare to His love and compassion for those who love the Lord Jesus Christ.... the name above all names.
